Quick Setup
GOAL
This page explains what the Demo System Next Quick Setup is and how to use it to create a new AEP/AJO demo.
Quick Setup is Demo System Nextβs guided provisioning flow to create a demo-ready environment in an AEP sandbox. It automates key setup tasks, including creating schemas, datasets, and supporting components, and generating DSN projects and data collection properties aligned with the selected preset.
In practice, it is the fastest way to go from an empty (or lightly prepared) sandbox to a usable demo foundation. Depending on the preset, it can provision industry-specific assets, apply demo configurations, and prepare the web/mobile structure required for DSN apps.
The process is preset-driven: you select the industry or scenario closest to your demo goal, and DSN builds the baseline environment for you. From there, you can enrich the setup with data and customize the applications to fit your demo story. π
Use Quick Setup when you need to create a new DSN-based demo environment in your own AEP sandbox, rather than relying solely on a shared demo/public project.
Do not use Quick Setup as your primary path if you only need to browse or present an existing shared demo. In that case, start from the shared/public demo instead. Quick Setup is best for cases where you need your own working environment that you can extend, hydrate, and tailor.
You should also expect that Quick Setup gives you the baseline, not always the fully finished story. In many cases, the next steps are to generate the required demo data and then customize the DSN apps to match your scenario.
